Job Overview:
An Accountant, responsible for the management and reporting of financial data of the company. His/her duties include preparing financial statements, examining and analyzing a company’s accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Reviewing all financial transactions for accuracy and ensuring that accounting records are up to date.
- Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations.
- Preparing financial statements, tax reports, and other reports based on standard accounting practice
- Providing reports to management regarding the financial status of the company, including trends over time
- Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company.
- Reviewing financial statements and recommending adjustments to improve the accuracy of reporting.
- Managing accounts payable and receivable, including collecting payments and identifying potential risks of non-payment
- Generating the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data.
- Keeping a check on the company’s finances based on financial status.
- Managing income and expenditure accounts.
- Reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers.
- Completing analysis of the company expenditures.
- Reviewing payroll closing and payroll-related accounting entries.
- Updating and maintaining legal and financial documents.
- Following up and ensuring timely payment of utility and telecom bills (Orange, Vodafone, Etisalat, and WE).
Job Requirements & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting is a MUST.
- 2–3 years of experience in the general accounting field.
- Registered in the Trade Syndicate is a MUST.
- Good knowledge of accounting laws and accounting terminology in English.
- English language proficiency must be at least B2.
- Good knowledge in Microsoft Excel, including creating and using formulas, functions, and data reports.
- Able to professionally send, receive, and manage emails using Outlook.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
