Position Title: Business Developer
Reports To: CEO
Job Overview:
The Business Developer is a key member of the executive team, reporting directly to the CEO. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing growth opportunities for the company. The Business Developer will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and fostering strategic partnerships.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential opportunities for business growth.
- Business Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to penetrate new markets and expand existing ones.
- Partnerships and Alliances: Build and maintain strategic partnerships and alliances with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and industry partners.
- Sales and Revenue Generation: Drive sales efforts to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Negotiation: Lead negotiations with potential clients, partners, and vendors to secure favorable deals and contracts.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks that may impact business growth and profitability.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports and updates for the CEO and executive team on business development activities, progress, and results.
Job Requirements and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles, preferably in the [industry/sector].
- Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to identify opportunities and develop effective strategies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and proposals.
- Negotiation: Proven ability to negotiate and close deals with clients, partners, and vendors.
